U shaped well balanced heavy  base with 90 degree inclinable body. Stage 112x125mm with 2 stage clips and provision for fitting mechanical stage. Separate coarse and fine focussing for body tube. Coarse focussing by rack and pinion mechanism with rack stop to prevent damage to slides. Triple nose-eyepiece with accurate parcentring and identical repeated settings.

Similar to Student Microscope - 400X but stage fitted with iris diaphragm. Abbe condenser N.A. 1.25 and filter support moving up and down with rack and pinion. These provisions allow use of 100X oil immersion listed below.

Simple to use binocular stereo microscope with a large working distance and field of view. The whole microscope head is rotatable through 360° and can be raised or lowered on a vertical pillar. The interpupillary distance is adjustable between 55mm and 75mm. The microscope is focussed by a rack and pinion mechanism. With built in paired 2X achromatic objectives and 10X large field eyepieces, the total magnification is 20X.
